This Privacy Policy explains what data RepoDocs.dev collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and the RepoDocs.dev application.
Information we collect
When you sign in with GitHub we receive your profile and an access token. When you connect a repository, we read its contents to generate documentation.
- GitHub profile: name, username, email, and avatar
- An OAuth access token (encrypted at rest)
- Repository contents you choose to connect
- Usage and billing data needed to run your workspace
How we use it
We use repository contents to analyze your code, generate documentation, and answer questions about it. Account data is used to operate your workspace, provide support, and process billing. We do not use your private code to train foundation models.
Repository data & secrets
We clone and index your repositories to build documentation. Secrets and credentials — API keys, tokens, and .env values — are detected and masked before indexing, and are never shown in answers or written to build logs.
Data retention & deletion
Cached repository data and embeddings are retained while a project is connected. Deleting a project or your account purges the associated cache and embeddings. You can request export or deletion at any time.
Your rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us and we will honor valid requests promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
